A plain card

Good afternoon everybody and a very warm welcome to my two new followers.  I hope that those of you who live in the "snowed in" areas are managing to keep warm.  Thank goodness we still have had no snow here where I live but it is very cold..  I wanted to share two things with you today.  The first is just a plain card which I thought would be useful for many different occasions.  I did see the ribbon idea somewhere in blogland quite some time ago but unfortunately I do not remember where - but the idea stayed with me.  My apologies to the lady who thought of it first.

The second thing is my very first attempt at rolling flowers.  I do realise that these are not very good but hopefully I will improve.  I used a little Marianne Die to cut them but as I have a touch of arthritis in my hands rolling them was not easy.  However any and all hints, tips and suggestions will be very gratefully received.

Thank you for taking a look.

Your card is beautiful, I love the ribbon. I think your roses look very nice. I have that same Marianne die, but I'm not very good at it.

The white on white is gorgeous and far from plain. It is so clean and that big bow is wonderful. The stripes in the paper are very subtle and match the flower perfectly. The paper roses you have rolled look pretty good to me and can't wait to see them on a card xx

Great rolled Roses Marie Louise and a beautiful card! Re fistail dies I think you could work with just one set, you would just have a bigger border then if you had both :O). I have to say I have lots of dies but these are my absolute fav so far and although I only tend to use them one way at the moment they are so versatile, check out the mini video here http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/?paged=11

Very pretty card. I do like white on white cards.
The rolled roses look great. Have you tried using a quilling slot tool to hold it for you? That might help.
Thanks for visiting my blog today.
