Hi Everybody and a very warm welcome to my new followers.  My cards today were made for friends.  The first one is for a Wedding Anniversary and the second one is for a birthday.   The first I made with a spellbinders lattice die and cut the frame with spellbinders square dies -  a very simple card.  I put some patterned paper behind the lattice and finished with a bow and a few baby's breath flowers.

The second card is made with a Sue Wilson die.  I cut the back in a pink card and then cut it down the middle and offset it from the top layer.  I covered the split with a piece of ribbon and decorated with a few flowers.  Again a very simple card as unfortunately time always seems to be in short supply.

Thank you for taking a look.

Hi Everybody and a very warm welcome to my newest follower Jaycee.  Thank you for  joining my little blog.  As you can see I am still playing around with my punch.  This card is for my friend's 81st birthday in a few days time and I hope that she will like it.  It is, as you all know, very difficult to photograph anything with mirror card on it and I had to twist myself into many shapes to try and get a photograph without me in it.

Thank you for taking a look and for all the kind comments that you leave.  I appreciate all of them very much.

Hi everybody from a very windy and cold Northern Ireland.  My cards today I put together to try out my new punch.  I had been looking for this punch for a very long time as EK Success had stopped making it and only just found one on ebay.  I am really pleased with it as I thought that it was very pretty.  I'm afraid the photos have distorted the actual cardstock.  The card I have used is in fact a very pretty linen card but the photos do not show this.  Thank you all for taking the time to look in.  It is very much appreciated.

Friday 5 September 2014

Hi everybody and Welcome to my new follower Jacquie.  Thank you for adding your name to my blog.  I realise that I have been behind on commenting on some of the blogs but this is due totally to a lack of time.  Somehow the days just never seem to be long enough.  Anyway I have been working away in the craft room for the past few days trying to replenish my stock box and today's card is one of my new stock.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to look in and leave a comment.  I do appreciate this very much.

Sunday 27 July 2014

Hi everybody.  First of all I want to say Welcome to my new followers and also Thank You for all the lovely bloggers who constantly visit and leave such lovely comments.

My card which I would like to share with you today is for a very dear friend who will be 91 in a few days time.  Unfortunately this lovely lady who is so vibrant and alert has virtually lost her sight - so I wanted to use strong colours so that she might be able to see some outline.  The die I have used
is the Spellbinders Heirloom Legacy die along with some flowers from Wild Orchid and ribbon from stash.

Thank you for taking a look.

Hi everybody - The rain has finally arrived after such a long dry sunny spell.  A wet day is a good excuse to stay in and play in the craft room.  My card today is one that I made a couple of weeks ago as a request.  It is very simple just using the one die which is the Spellbinders Tapestry die and my usual flowers and ribbon.  The bow was an experiment using my new Zutter Bow it all which is absolutely brilliant.  Thank you for looking in today.

Tuesday 17 June 2014

Hi everybody.  I hope that you are all enjoying the same beautiful sunny weather that we have been having for the last number of days.  My card today is made from a Tonic Die which although it is quite a nice die I do not think there is very much you can do with it.  Normally I like a die which I can use in different ways but this die I find to be quite limited.

Many Thanks

Hi everybody.   First of all I want to say Thank You for all the kind comments both on my card and on my son's achievement.  My card today is one that I  saw on the blog of the wonderful Sasha of  Sasha's Inspirations.  Sasha did this card in the most beautiful shade of green and it is well worthwhile looking at her blog as her cards are simply gorgeous.  The die is Spellbinders Adorning Squares cut from Centura Pearl cardstock and the flowers were a gift from my lovely friend Jacqui.

Thank you for taking a look.

Tuesday 20 May 2014

Hi everybody and a very warm welcome to my new followers.  As you can see I have the Hodgkins Lymphoma badge on my sidebar.  This is because my son (who was 21 at the time) was diagnosed  4 years ago.  When he was diagnosed he was in the latter stages of the disease (stage 4).  Well my reason for telling you this is that he enrolled in University shortly after he was diagnosed and  attended classes between his chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions which took almost a year and last week he got his exam results and has passed and is now B.Sc.  I am so very proud of him.

Anyway, my card today was a commssion for a 50th birthday.  The little flower was my first attempt at a flower made from crafters clay and a little mould.

Thank you for taking a look.

Wednesday 16 April 2014

Hi everybody.  Thank you for taking the time to look in and for all the lovely comments that you leave.  They are so very much appreciated.  My card today is one that I made about a month ago for my stock box but I never got around to posting it on here.  My neighbour has just purchased it for her son's partner so I thought I would show it before I gave it to her.  When she saw it I did not have a box made for it but now it is ready to go.

I used a matt hammered card for a change and layered it with a Marianne cut and emboss folder - my usual ribbon and flowers .  The tiny flowers I made from a small tonic punch which came free with a magazine years ago.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter.

Tuesday 11 March 2014

Hi  everybody and a very warm welcome to my new followers - thank you for adding your name to my little blog.  I do appreciate that so many take the time to look in and leave a comment.  I can now show this card as my friend has now received it.  I made this for my friend Rita and her husband Bill who last week celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  Rita herself is a very talented card maker so no pressure there!!

The card is cut with spellbinder dies and the heart is the memory box La Rue heart.  My usual ribbon and some flowers which were a gift from my friend Jacqui - thank you Jacqui.

Monday 10 February 2014

Hi everybody.  It has been a very long time since my last post - I have been making a few cards when my commitments allow but did not get around to posting them.  Firstly I want to say Welcome to my new followers and thank you to all my followers for your lovely comments.

My card today was requested by my neighbour for her friend and I am glad to say that she was very pleased with it.  I saw the idea on Pinterest from the desk of Debbie Steven - paperpastimes.  Her cards are simply beautiful.  I treated myself to the Spellbinders Grand Squares and they have made life so much easier.  The roses I rolled myself from a Marianne die.

Thank you for taking a look.
