Good morning everybody from a sunny but very windy N. Ireland. Again Welcome to my new followers - when I started this blog with the encouragement of my friend Elizabeth (http://silverscrappers.blogspot.co.uk) never ever did I think that I would one day have 99 followers. I want to thank each and every one of you for all your very kind comments - and I do read all of them.
For a while now I have been looking at and admiring these Fishtail dies which many of you put on your cards and I have finally bought them. I put this card together yesterday after I had cut them out and I like the simplicity of it. Usually when I buy a die I cut out loads of the shape and put them into a box but yesterday I decided just to use them instead. Again I have used my rolled roses and some First Edition Sweet Owl papers and of course ribbon.
Thank you for taking a look.

The product of a wet day
Good afternoon everybody. A very warm welcome to my new followers. It was such a wet, windy, miserable day here I decided I was not going out so I made a card instead. I thought it was about time I used up some of my coloured cardstock - so this is the start. I have also used two of my own rolled roses which were fun to make even if they are not very good.

Papers
Good afternoon everybody. Hope you are all keeping warm and dry. Here we still have had no snow but it is pouring down with rain - for once no complaints there. A very warm Welcome to my new followers - it is always such a great pleasure to see a new face appear. Today I would like to ask you to pop over to a blog and give your support to a lady starting up and we all know how difficult it is. She has very few followers and we all know how important a little encouragement is. Her name is Alison Scott and her blog address is: - http://ohihopethisoneisbetter.blogspot.co.uk
My card today is really just to show off some beautiful papers I bought after seeing the link on Jules blog ( http://www.jules-alwayswithaheart.blogspot.co.uk) Jules always uses the most beautiful papers. Thank you for taking a look.

A plain card
Good afternoon everybody and a very warm welcome to my two new followers. I hope that those of you who live in the "snowed in" areas are managing to keep warm. Thank goodness we still have had no snow here where I live but it is very cold.. I wanted to share two things with you today. The first is just a plain card which I thought would be useful for many different occasions. I did see the ribbon idea somewhere in blogland quite some time ago but unfortunately I do not remember where - but the idea stayed with me. My apologies to the lady who thought of it first.
The second thing is my very first attempt at rolling flowers. I do realise that these are not very good but hopefully I will improve. I used a little Marianne Die to cut them but as I have a touch of arthritis in my hands rolling them was not easy. However any and all hints, tips and suggestions will be very gratefully received.
Thank you for taking a look.

For my friend
Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are all staying warm. We have been incredibly lucky here (so far) and have had little or no snow although it is bitterly cold and very windy. I put this card together today for my friend whose birthday will be on Wednesday. It is just a simple card but I hope that she likes it. Thank you for taking a look.

Spread your tiny wings and fly away.......
Hi everybody and first of all I want to say a very warm welcome to my new followers. It is always a lovely surprise to see a new name appear. It is quite cold here in Northern Ireland but thank goodness we have not had any snow - yet.
It's my brother's birthday on the 18th and his interests are motor bikes and vintage cars so needless to say all his cards will be on those themes so I decided to do something different and used a Lighthouse - as you would. I have used the lovely set of stamps from Kanban and yes I embossed them in gold. I used the Spellbinders Marvellous squares both for the frame and the image and that was it.

O Sole Mio
Hi everybody - just a quick make today as I needed a card for my son's birthday. He loves all things Italian and visited Venice on his Honeymoon so I thought that this stamp would be perfect. This is the new Kanban stamp and belongs (as you might guess) to my friend Jeannie. The card was very hard to photograph because of the poor light but I embossed the image in gold and cut it with a Spellbinders rectangle die. I layered this onto a piece of navy card which I had quilted with my Hougie board and this in turn was layered onto a 6x6 inch base card of Centura pearl which I had used a spellbinders edge die on. I finished it off with a piece of gold thread.
