Hi Everybody and a very warm welcome to my new followers Jackie and Sandra.  My first card today is one that I made which I thought would be rather nice for an 80th birthday which was requested by my neighbour but when I gave her a choice of a few cards she did not choose this one and actually much to my surprise chose the second card.

This is actually the card she chose.

I hope you have all been enjoying the lovely weather.  It has been very misty here since yesterday and unfortunately rain is on it's way.  Thank you for taking a look.

Good morning everybody.  Like the rest of the U.K. it is very windy here and some very heavy showers.  My two cards today were from a design by  the wonderful Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace.  This lady makes the most fabulous cards.  I also wanted to start using up some of my mountain of coloured card.  Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today.

Hi Everyone from a very bright but chilly day here in Northern Ireland.  It is certainly more Spring like today after the rain and winds of the last few days.  My card today is as CAS as I could possible make.  The La Blanche stamp had been lying in the drawer and never been used - so I decided to stamp it and gold emboss it just to see what it looked like.  I was quite pleased with the outcome so I put it on a plain Spellbinders diecut and used plain card and a little mirror card for matting.  When I looked at the finished card I thought that it would probably be useful for a Sympathy card.  The green is slightly darker in the photograph.  In real life it is actually a very soft sage green.
Thank you so much for looking in.

Hi Everyone.  My card today was a request by my sister for her daughter who is getting married on the 21st March.  She asked for something a little different from the normal bride and groom images and she wanted something blue on it.  I cut the shape with my Spellbinders Grand Circles and the heart was the shape left when I cut out a memory box heart.  I criss crossed some ribbon along the back of the heart and added two butterflies and some pearls.  A very easy card and I am glad to say that she is pleased with it.
Thank you for taking a look and for all the lovely comments that you left on my last card.  I appreciate all of them.

Hi everybody - first of all I want to welcome my newest follower Ivelina.  It is always such a lovely surprise to see a new name.  Thank you for taking the time to look in.  My card today is one that I had previously made and had forgotten to post.  This is probably as close as I can get to clean and simple.
Thank you for all the lovely comments that you so regularly leave.  I read and appreciate all of them.

Hi everybody.  It has been some time since I have had a chance to post a card - a case of too many chores and far too little time.  Anyway the first thing I want to  tell you about is a marvellous blog which I discovered.  The gentleman's name is John Steedman and his blog is all about gardening.  So for all of you who have gardens and an interest in plants you will find this blog really interesting apart from which John will be able to answer your questions with regard to your plants.  His blog address is www.gardeningwithjohnsteedman.blogspot.co.uk   and I hope you will visit.

My card today was a commission.  I was not totally happy with the end result but the lady who ordered it was delighted with it.  I cut the base with a Go Kreate die,  the stamp is from Stampavie, pleated ribbon and pearls from stash.  Thank you for looking in.

Hi Everybody and a very warm welcome to my new followers.  My cards today were made for friends.  The first one is for a Wedding Anniversary and the second one is for a birthday.   The first I made with a spellbinders lattice die and cut the frame with spellbinders square dies -  a very simple card.  I put some patterned paper behind the lattice and finished with a bow and a few baby's breath flowers.

The second card is made with a Sue Wilson die.  I cut the back in a pink card and then cut it down the middle and offset it from the top layer.  I covered the split with a piece of ribbon and decorated with a few flowers.  Again a very simple card as unfortunately time always seems to be in short supply.

Thank you for taking a look.
