Clean and simple

Hi everybody,   First of all I want to say Hi and Welcome to Sasha, Glenda, Anne and Sharon Joy.  I hope you are all keeping warm.  We have been very lucky here in Northern Ireland and have not had any snow so far.  I could not resist some stamps that I saw on Create and Craft recently - just basic flowers, sentiments etc. so I put together this clean and simple card - the kind of card that is very hands to have ready as it covers so many occasions.  Thank you for looking in.

I'm over the moon.

Hi everybody - I am just so pleased.  Today my dear friend Elizabeth awarded me the  Leibster blog award.  This is the only award I have ever received and I am delighted.  Thank you so much Elizabeth.   Elizabeth has  a marvellous blog in which she keeps all of her followers up to date with her trips, photos of her lovely family, fantastic recipes and most of all her cards/projects.  Take a look at her blog  www.silverscrappers.blogspot.com  and see if you don't agree.

The idea of the award is that is is given bloggers with less than 200 followers in the hope that it will bring new friends and followers.

It has very simple rules and they are as follows:

1 Show your appreciation of the award by thanking them and linking back to their blog.
2 Reveal your five choices for the award and let them know
3 Post the award on your blog
4 Bask in the love from the most supportive people on the blogshare - other bloggers.
5 Finally and best of all - have fun and spread the love.

These are the blogs that I have chosen -  Irene at  www.alloccasionscards.blogspot.com
Maddy at www.izzy-izzwizz.blogspot.com
Johanna at  www.jonnujohanna.blogspot.com
Ger at  www.cards-n-chocs.blogspot.com
Patricia at www.rubberstampingismygame.blogspot.com

Thank you again Elizabeth.

From my stash

Hi everybody - Like so many of you I have decided to try and use up things I already have  in my craft stash.  On the first card I have used a Joanna Sheen rose stamp that my son bought for me ages ago and it got very little use.  The lovely birthday wishes sentiment I got from a http://www.birdscards.com/  this is a lovely site and is all free digi stamps and is well worth a look.  The second card is made up of free backing paper (came with a magazine ages ago) and a stamp that is one of a set that I think came free with a Debbie Moore cd ages ago and the only things I had to buy were the little flowers.   I do appreciate all you comments and the fact that you take the time to look in.

I'm on a roll

Hi Everybody,   First I want to say Welcome to Dora, nnalorac and Doreen and thank you so much for adding your names as followers.  Secondly I want to say a very sincere thank you to all of you who left comments on my card and your kind words and wishes for my son.  Now - a few days ago I bought two beautiful Melissa Francis paper pads and the first card is from the 5th Avenue pad.  I wanted to do a card that showed the paper rather than have it just a sliver in the background.  The second card is from another pad of paper that I had called Tilda Autumngarden and I was just using up a topper that I had printed off a cd and coloured ages ago.  Thank you  for looking in.

Yesterdays attempt

While I was trying to put this card together yesterday my neighbour came to ask me to do a card for her and when she saw this card lying she insisted on having it.  My friends and neighbours know that if I sell any cards all the money goes to Cancer - so they are very supportive and get most of the cards they need from me.  Two years ago my 21 year old son was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in a very advanced stage.  His battle with it took one year and with fantastic hospital care and the prayers and support of family and friends he is now in remission.  Hence the Hodgkins Lymphoma awareness symbol on my blog.  Anyway here is the card and also a photo of my son now back to full health. Thank you for taking a look.

More odds 'n ends

Yet more odds 'n ends from my huge box.  I had die cut the card when I got my  Grand Calibur, the backing paper I printed off a cd. ages ago the little bear stamp was a freebie on  a magazine and I had coloured it a long time ago when I had bought some promarkers.  Thank you for looking in.

Bits 'n pieces

I have been looking through the mountain of bits 'n pieces that I have accumulated and so I decided to try and start using them.  They are just  bits that have been cut  or embossed when trying out new dies and embossing folders.  I have to say that this card is very pretty in real life as the butterflies are cut out of silver glitter card.  Thank you for visiting.
