My new Grand Calibur
Hi everybody. Well it's a cool and overcast day here but at least it is dry. As you know my Grand Calibur died on me (at 18 months old) but I decided that it was not really worth my while paying to have it shipped somewhere to have it fixed so I bought a new one on the Spellbinders blockbuster that was on Create and Craft recently and when I told my son that I had bought it he said he would go half on it for me for Mother's Day. So maybe Students aren't so bad after all!! Anyway I ordered it on a Saturday and it was delivered on Tuesday morning - very quick for once. Needless to say I had to play around with it and so I made these cards.

A man's card.
Good afternoon everybody from a bitterly cold N. Ireland. It has been trying to snow here all day but thank goodness it melts as it falls. My card today is the dreaded man's card. I know I am going to need quite a few men's cards in the coming months (both commissions and family) so I made a start today. I was going to say that I was undecided about this card but if I do that then my friend Jacqui at Jacqui's little piece of England - http://jacquibourne7.blogspot.co.uk/ will phone me and give me a "telling off". LOL Anyway thank you for taking a look.

Keeping busy
Good afternoon everybody. Over the past number of days I have had the decorators in so I confined myself to the craft room. Unfortunately just after I started my cards my Grand Calibur decided to die on me. I knew that it was on its last days as there were "things" rattling about inside and the handle had become very loose, but all of a sudden it just stopped working. Thankfully I still had my Cuttlebug to fall back on for smaller dies. Anyway these are the fruits of my labour.
Thank you for taking a look.

For my sister
Good afternoon everybody. It is a beautiful afternoon here. Thank goodness we did not get any of the snow - it was wet and windy but that was all. My card today is one for my sister whose birthday will be on Sunday.
Thank you for taking a look and I hope you are having a lovely Valentine's Day.

Lena's tribute
Good morning everybody. I will be posting a card later but first of all I wanted to ask you to take a look at my friend's blog. Her name is Lena and her blog address is http://lenasworksofheart.blogspot.co.uk Lena lives in the wonderful city of Mumbai (Bombay) - a city I dearly love - and her blog is a marvellous mix of her talent, photographs of her city and recipes. Today Lena has posted a tribute to her late Mother whose birthday would have been today and I think it is a beautiful post. I think a lot of us (especially those of us who have lost our mothers) will see much of our own mothers in this loving tribute. As you can see I have been very moved by Lena's post and I just wish I had thought of doing the same. Please do take a few minutes to take a look.

Vellum
Good afternoon everybody. It is such a windy day here and now it is trying to rain. This card today was one I made for a friend whose birthday is today - so I hope when she opens it that she is pleased with it. As always I have used centura pearl for the card and also cut a frame in centura pearl . Behind the frame I have placed a piece of vellum topped it with a little marianne die cut and another of my rolled roses. I finished the card off with Noor corner dies.
Thank you for taking the time to drop in.

More roses.
Good afternoon everybody from a very dreary N. Ireland. It is not a nice day at all. I'm afraid it's more roses today again. I am getting so much fun from making these that I'm sorry to say they will probably keep popping up. The card I have to show you is one using the Tied Together embossing folder a Cheery Lynn Doily die and a few embellishments . Thank you for taking a look.
