Keeping busy

Good afternoon everybody.  Over the past number of days I have had the decorators in so I confined myself to the craft room.  Unfortunately just after I started my cards my Grand Calibur decided to die on me.  I knew that it was on its last days as there were "things" rattling about inside and the handle had become very loose, but all of a sudden it just stopped working.  Thankfully I still had my Cuttlebug to fall back on for smaller dies.  Anyway these are the fruits of my labour.

Thank you for taking a look.

  3. Gorgeous cards, such great use of your die cuts. I have now heard a number of people having trouble with their GC so it may be worth getting in touch with the company to see what they advise as it is quite a major purchase. xx Flora

  4. Hello again...I forgot to say,
My GC did exactly the same as yours. It was working but after a loud bang, something was rattling about inside. I contacted Spellbinders, and they arranged for a courier to pick it up and repair it, (free of charge). Spellbinders have had quite a few issues with this happening, and they are more than happy to help. Please let me know if you would like the contact details xx

  20. These are all beautiful Marie-Louise.

I am so sorry about your GC, I hope it gets fixed or replaced. I have also heard about this happening, and I keep my fingers crossed every time I use mine. I have a Sizzix Big Kick, but I'd be lost without my GC. I don't think a day goes by when I don't use it.

I'm so glad Sasha gave you hope!

  27. Love your cards, beautiful designs and colours.
Sorry to hear about your GC, I am on my second one. My first died after about 18 months. Out of gaurantee so they gave me an address to send it to at my cost but that was very expensive. Used my trusty Cuttlebug but missed the bigger format so just had to get another one. Good luck with yours.

  32. A gorgeous selection of cards Marie-Louise, and a very wise plan to stay inside your craftroom!

Sorry to hear about the GC, to be honest with you, I had one bought me when they first came out but I just didn't like it, so I donated it to a friend of mine. She loved it! But was heartbroken when after just a couple of months exactly the same thing happened to hers.
I hope they will repair it for you, they're not cheap!!

    Big hugs
    Elaine xx
