O Sole Mio

Hi everybody - just a quick make today as I needed a card for my son's birthday.  He loves all things Italian and  visited Venice on his Honeymoon so I thought that this stamp would be perfect.  This is the new Kanban stamp and belongs (as you might guess) to my friend Jeannie.  The card was very hard to photograph because of the poor light but I embossed the image in gold and cut it with a Spellbinders rectangle die.  I layered this onto a piece of navy card which I had quilted with my Hougie board and this in turn was layered onto a 6x6 inch base card of Centura pearl which I had used a spellbinders edge die on.  I finished it off with a piece of gold thread.

Thank you for taking a look.

  23. Beautiful, Marie-Louise. Thanks for your kind comments. I've not been commenting either. Too many memories made for a miserable New Year's Eve. I'm trying hard to be cheerful but it's very difficult at times. Hazel x
