Before I started to make cards I used to do cross stitch and there is only one piece that I ever bothered to put into a frame and hang up. This picture of the Taj Mahal hangs in my craft room. I'm afraid the photograph is very poor as it was difficult to do as the light was so bad today and I kept getting my reflection in the glass. I visited the Taj Mahal in 1979 and it left a very lasting impression on me and I am very fond of this picture. Thank you for taking a look.
This is beautifully worked, Marie-Louise. I have have lots of admiration for anyone who has the patience to complete something so intricate. Your cross stitched Taj Mahal looks fabulous framed x

I used to do cross-stitch too until my eyes got dim - I should say dimmer because I've always needed glasses - but I gave most of it away and now only have a few tiny pieces framed and hanging in the hall. Nothing as beautiful as your Taj Mahal. And how wonderful to have visited it too - now that's a sight I'd love to see. Take care, Elizabeth xx

Stunning piece of work Marie-Louise. It is so beautiful.Like others, I have quite a few pieces of work in a cupboard waiting to be framed. One of these days......... I have had a few pieces framed that I gave as gifts but then the guy I used to use for framing retired and I couldn't find anyone else and then I guess it just goes out of your mind. ANyway hope youhave a better day today. Oxfordshire was the same awful day too but this morning looks as if it might be an improvement. Christine x

I always use 160gsm Graphic paper from Staples
I like using Digis as you can vary the size

ReplyDeleteI have`nt as yet used digis, I have heared if you print in draft setting & spray with cheap hairspray this stops it bleeding, I have printed and gone over with pro makers, on other things with no problum..

My mother used to walk my sisters around the Taj in their prams. She was born there, but her Dad was from Ireland, and my great grandmother was nanny to the Rajs children.
